COA = Cost of Attendance

* Based on 15 credit hours per semester

** Students who utilize student loans receive an additional amount equal to the loan fees they are being charged.

*** Students who are only taking online classes in a semester will have their miscellaneous expenses (Misc. Exp.) set to zero and the travel amount set to $500 per semester.

Tuition and Fees: The average cost of tuition and fees for a typical student enrolled in a total of 30 credit hours during the Fall and Spring semesters.

Room and Board: A reasonable estimate of what it would cost to live in the areas around the various campuses.  Typically includes rent, food, household supplies, and utilities.

Books and Supplies: The average cost of books and supplies for a typical student for an entire academic year.

Travel: Represents the cost of traveling to and from home, work, and to school.

Personal Expense: Estimate of costs for clothing and other miscellaneous expenses. These usually are expenses that you are already incurring for every day living and will vary from student to student.

Child Care: Independent students who have children in daycare, so they can attend class may request that their Cost Of Attendance (COA) be increased. Students must be registered for six or more hours to be eligible. The student must provide documentation on letterhead from the daycare provider listing the children, how much their daycare is, that the student is enrolled, and the daycare if paid. Once this is received the COA can be increased. An increase in the COA does not necessarily guarantee that the student is eligible for any additional financial aid.
