When to Apply for Endowed Scholarships

2018-2019 Endowed Scholarships:

The Blinn College 2018-2019 Endowed Scholarship Application for the Fall 2018 and Spring 2019 semesters opens February 1, 2018, and will remain open until December 31, 2018. We recommend that your application be submitted and your letter(s) of recommendation be received by April 1, 2018, to be considered in the first round of awards. Awarding will begin in mid-April and notification of awards will be in May. Submitted applications are reviewed throughout the year and funds are awarded on a rolling basis. For the 2017-2018 year, over $285,000 was awarded to students through the scholarship application.
Here is an example of a small, but not inclusive, list of criteria some of the scholarships look for:

  • Washington County residents majoring in:
    • STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math). These include the following majors: agriculture, computer science, any science, math, and engineering.
    • English
    • Accepted into the Licensed Vocational Nursing (LVN) and Associate Degree Nursing (ADN) programs
  • Austin, Brazos, Burleson, Lee, Grimes, Fayette, and Waller County students,
  • Students majoring in: Education, Kinesiology, English, History, Accounting, Business, Speech, Theatre Arts, Real Estate Certificate, Digital Arts, Graphic Design,
  • Students attending the Brenham, Bryan, Schulenburg, or Sealy campuses,
  • Phi Theta Kapa members,
  • Nursing:
    • Students accepted into the Brenham and Bryan LVN programs.
    • Students accepted into the Bryan ADN program.
  • Blinn athletes and students who were athletes in high school,
  • Students who participate in leadership activities or are involved in 4-H, FFA, or a church youth group.

How to Apply for Scholarships
Blinn uses one online application for all endowed scholarships. Completing this application will ensure that you are applying for all of the endowed scholarships for which you are eligible.
To apply for Blinn endowed scholarships, you must have the following items completed:

  • Application for admission to Blinn College. You can apply
  • Submit your High School transcripts to the Blinn Admissions Office (this does not have to be your final graduated transcript). Please contact the Admissions Office for further details about submitting transcripts at If applicable, provide all official college transcripts.
  • Some scholarships are need-based. To be considered for need-based scholarships, Blinn must receive your 2018-2019 FAFSA
