Academic Support Services and Resources

Blinn College's many academic support services can help students achieve their educational goals, no matter what those goals may be. Dedicated faculty, staff, and employees are all committed to helping students reach their full potential.

Academic Advising

Setting goals helps ensure students are successful in completing courses, certificates, or degree programs, or transferring to a four-year college or university. Blinn College's academic advisors are here to help students with the decision making process of selecting the right courses for their educational goals.

Admissions and Enrollment Services

Blinn College maintains an open admissions policy, with the goal of serving the community by offering a quality education to all students. Admissions and Enrollment Services are available to assist with the application, admissions, and enrollment processes.

Bookstores

All Blinn bookstores are managed by Barnes & Noble, with locations at most campuses and online for your convenience.

Counseling Services

Counseling Services can help students plan, grow, and change in the face of different challenges they may experience during their college career. These free and confidential services are provided by professional counselors and are available to all currently enrolled Blinn students.

Disability Services

The Office of Disability Services provides a variety of accommodations and services for students with disabilities to ensure that students have equal access to their educational pursuits in an inclusive and supportive environment.

Graduation

At the end of the fall, spring, and summer semesters, the Blinn College District awards diplomas to students who complete their degree and certificate requirements. Students must apply for graduation within the semester they are completing the coursework.

Learning Center

Located on the Brenham and Bryan campuses, the Learning Center offers students access to one-on-one tutoring, computer labs, and state-of-the-art educational technology. These services provide students with academic assistance and resources to help them meet the challenges of their college curriculum.

Library

The Blinn College Library supports students, faculty, staff, and the wider community by providing resources, services, and expertise to enrich lives and broaden horizons. The library prepares students to be informed, responsible citizens and lifelong learners.

Student Services

Support offices such as Admissions, Financial Aid, Housing, and Student Activities provide a variety of services for students to help with personal and academic goals while attending Blinn. Student Services also encourages students to become engaged in their campus community.

Transfer Information

Preparing to transfer to a four-year institution can be one of the most exciting aspects of a student's college experience. Because each institution has a unique process and degree programs, academic advisors are available to meet with students to make sure all of their courses are transferable.

Tutoring

The Blinn College District provides free tutoring services to all students, including dual credit and online students. All Blinn tutors undergo extensive training and are eager to help our students succeed in the classroom and develop a lifelong love of learning.

Veteran Services

Blinn College's Veteran Services assists active duty service members, veterans, and their families as they work to achieve their academic goals. Staff and veteran advisors are available to assist with applying for military educational benefits and maximizing college funding for eligible students.

Writing Center

The Blinn College Writing Center serves all students enrolled in Blinn courses. Its mission is to help students become better writers through one-on-one consultations with experienced, credentialed writing tutors.
