Things to Know Prior to Your Arrival…
BucBooks
Save time and money by taking advantage of the BucBooks program! The BucBooks program helps to reduce the cost of materials, ensuring students conveniently receive all their required course materials before the first day of class.
You can learn more about the BucBooks program by visiting their website or emailing BucBooks@blinn.edu.
NelNet
Once you’ve signed up for classes, you’ll see that you now have a balance on your student account. You can easily set up a payment plan via NelNet. Be sure to check out this webpage early as the number of payments, and their amount, will vary depending on when you sign up for an installment plan.
Another thing that NelNet does is helps you get any refund from the Blinn College District that you are due. As financial aid is credited to your account, it is applied to all the charges that exist on your account. If a credit balance remains after all charges are paid, you will be refunded the amount of the credit.
For more information about setting up an installment plan or receiving a refund, please reach out to the Business Office. You can find individual campus contact information on the Business Office website.

Mental Health Counseling
Counseling is a process in which those struggling with some aspect of life enter into a therapeutic relationship with a trained mental health professional to gain insight and make changes in life. The process may involve exploring thoughts, perceptions, reactions, behaviors, and emotions to better understand one’s self.
Individual counseling is short-term in nature and sessions are limited. The primary goal is to help facilitate student success and focus on short-term objectives. If long-term counseling or the needs of the student exceeds the scope of practice, the counselor will provide a referral list for appropriate professionals or agencies in the area.
For more information on Mental Health Counseling, please visit their webpage.
