Must be certified by the Texas Department of State Health Services or able to obtain certification within 30 days of starting the paramedic academy. Proof of successful course completion and the end date of an EMT class is required.
Two semesters of college-level Human Anatomy & Physiology (BIOL 2401 & BIOL 2402) with a final grade of “C” or better. Students lacking this requirement may co-enroll during the first semester. Continuation to the second and third semesters depends on the successful completion of these courses with a "C" or better.
One of the following:
Appropriate scores on the TSI Assessment test, or
successful completion of necessary developmental courses, or
TSI exemption/waiver.
CPR training at the Health Care Provider level is required before starting clinical rotations (not included in the class).
This course requires the student to have met the vaccine requirements set by the Blinn Division of Health Sciences prior to beginning clinical rotations. Please contact the Program Director for more information.
