Liberal Arts

The Blinn College District Associate of Arts Degree in Liberal Arts provides the academic foundation necessary to successfully transfer and pursue baccalaureate degrees in liberal arts, fine arts, or a variety of related fields.

A degree in liberal arts emphasizes critical and creative thinking, logical reasoning, communication, information literacy, personal responsibility, social responsibility, multicultural awareness, and teamwork.

Courses in liberal arts provide students with a broad interdisciplinary context with which to see how ideas and events interrelate. The knowledge and skills gained by studying the liberal arts can help people solve problems in a wide variety of professional settings.
