Letters of Accommodation (LOA) Process

 

All Letters of Accommodation (LOAs) are sent electronically, as an email, to the students BUC Blinn account. Instructors, you should only accept LOAs provided by the Disability Services (ODS) office. 

  • The LOA will contain the accommodations that need to be provided for the student in the classroom.
  • The LOA will contain the student's name and semester of request.

Letters are emailed to the student within one week of their course schedule being submitted. The LOA is NOT retroactive and only becomes effective once the student and instructor discuss the accommodations.

Review the LOA carefully and contact the Disability Services office should you have any questions about how an accommodation should/may be provided.

Students MUST submit the online letter request form each semester in order to receive letters of accommodations for that semester.
