Career assessments can help identify your unique interests, strengths, personality, and values. While no test will provide definitive answers about what job or career to pursue, they can be helpful as part of a general self-analysis or confirm your chosen major.

CareerExplorer
This online assessment explores interests by asking you to consider how you feel about completing certain types of work activities. Your responses should be given based on instinct and initial reaction to the work activity.

Texas Career Check Interest Profiler
This is a fun activity to do before exploring the world of work. Take a few minutes to answer the questions to identify occupations relevant to your likes and interests. Results will lead you to a list of occupations for you to explore.

Texas H.O.T. Jobs
Health Opportunities of Texas (HOT) is a resource guide for students wanting to go into the healthcare field. It outlines different healthcare industries with a detailed description of job duties, certifications, pay, education requirements, and work environments. They also describe Texas educational institutions where you can obtain these certificates and degrees.

Career One Stop
A one stop shop for your career needs sponsored by the U.S. Department of Labor. You can explore careers through self-assessments, career snap shots, and researching industries. They also aid with special populations, training and even discovering funding for your educational journey.

Occupational Outlook Handbook
An extensive list of hundreds of different occupations complied by the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics. Each occupation has statistics on median pay, job outlook, work experience needed, etc. This is a wonderful place to start if you are wanting to know more about specific careers.

Onet Online
Onet Online gives you the ability to find an occupation based on specific criteria such as if the field is having rapid growth, numerus job openings, or new and emerging careers. Find even more careers that align with your interests, skills, and values with the browse section of the site.

Career Center
This learning express library allows you to dive into resources such as practice tests, tutorials, and eBooks for free. An individual can set themselves up for success by using these resources to prepare for Commercial Drives License (CDL) Test, College Placement Exam, GED testing, etc. They also have resources for becoming a U.S citizen and improving your writing, speaking, and grammar skills.
