Q: Where are you from?

A: I was born in Houston, Texas. As I began elementary school we moved to the Cypress area. I completed all grade levels in Cy-Fair ISD, graduating from Cy-Fair High School. Go Bobcats! After marrying my college sweetheart, starting our family and teaching careers in Jacksonville, Texas we relocated to the beautiful community of Chappell Hill, Texas nearly 20 years ago. We are proud to have raised 3 kids (all of which attended Blinn College) in this fabulous area we call home.

Q: Where did you go to college and what did you study?

A: I’m a proud Blinn alumni where I graduated with an associate’s degree in agriculture. I continued my education at Stephen F. Austin State University (SFA) and obtained a bachelor’s of science degree in animal science with a minor in biology. After our first daughter was born I returned to SFA to earn my teaching certificate. I spent a few years in an elementary classroom, and became certified in learning resources to become the schools librarian. Our move to the Brenham area opened the doors of opportunity, which led me to earn a master’s degree in educational administration from Prairie View A&M University. I spent an enjoyable 12 years as an assistant principal and principal in Brenham ISD. I have a passion for education and love the opportunity to work with Blinn College students. It doesn’t matter the path you take, just the amount of dedication and determination you put forth to believe in your dreams!
