Bucs Talk Back: Student Experience Survey

We want to hear from you! The Bucs Talk Back: Student Experience Survey is Blinn’s opportunity to reach out and hear about your perspectives and experiences here at Blinn. We use this data to reflect on and improve our services.

This survey is designed to cover a wide array of topics such as student interactions with faculty, Financial Aid, Advising and Library Services. Students are asked to rate their experience on some of the services obtained throughout their current semester.

Below are some examples of survey responses:

• People at Blinn College are Respectful.
• Seeking Bookstore services is convenient.
• I am satisfied with Veteran Services.
• I prefer a mix of face-to-face and online instruction.
• Financial Aid staff are available when I need them.
• Classroom technology is in good, usable condition.
• Campus Housing facilities are clean.
• My Blinn campus feels like a safe environment.

Is this a legitimate survey?

Yes! This survey is sponsored by Institutional Research and Effectiveness at Blinn. It has been approved by the Review Board

Is this survey confidential? How will my data be used?

Yes, this survey is confidential. Only Institutional Research and Effectiveness staff will have access to identifiable data. We delete identifiable data before we even begin reviewing the data, so your responses will never be linked back to you.

Are there any risks associated with this survey?

While sharing your opinion always runs the risk of triggering intense feelings, all care has been taken to ensure that questions are worded as kindly as possible. You are welcome to skip any question that makes you uncomfortable.

How do I get my prize?

Every student who submits a survey is eligible for the prize. It is a gift from the IRE team, to thank you for your valuable feedback.

We cannot ship the prize to you, so we ask that you visit one of our offices to pick up your prize. We currently have 2 pick-up locations:

Who gets a prize for completing the survey?

Every student who submits a survey can get a prize. Opting out of answering questions does not change your eligibility.

While we have made efforts to make sure every student who participates can get a prize, the IRE office only has supplies for the first 500 students who respond.

What is the prize?

For the 2024-2025 academic year, students who complete the survey can receive an insulated tumbler with the Blinn logo. Keep your drinks hot or cold with this handy tumbler!
