The Blinn College District Associate of Arts in Geography prepares you to seek a bachelor’s degree at a four-year university. Through this program, you learn to employ the latest modeling techniques used in the rapidly advancing field of geographic information systems while studying the different aspects of the field, such as human, physical, and economic geography.

The Associate of Arts in Geology can be completed online and on the Brenham, Bryan, RELLIS, Schulenburg, and Sealy campuses.

Blinn courses are highly transferrable, and recent geography graduates have transferred to Texas A&M, Texas State, the University of Houston, the University of Texas at Arlington, and Texas A&M-Corpus Christi.

Students who complete Blinn’s Associate of Arts in Geography can work in a variety of roles, including geographic information systems (GIS) technician, cartographic technician, environmental technician, urban planning technician, surveying technician, and real estate analyst.

According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, geographers earned a median salary of $85,220 per year in 2021.
