The First Gen at Blinn Committee is dedicated to empowering first-generation college students by providing comprehensive support, fostering a sense of belonging, and advocating for their unique needs. We are committed to creating equitable opportunities for academic success, personal growth, and professional development. Through mentorship, resources, and community engagement, we aim to help first-generation students navigate the challenges of higher education and achieve their full potential, paving the way for future generations.
Events and Activities
Our first upcoming event called the First Gen Luncheon is on September 4th from noon-2 p.m. in the Brenham Student Center. Lunch and a time to connect with other students and Blinn employees who are first-generation college students are welcome.
You will have the opportunity to meet other first-generation students at Blinn and talk to Blinn employees who are also first-generation college students.
