Carpentry
Blinn's Carpentry Program offers a variety of awards designed to prepare students for entry-level carpentry positions, including college credit degree plans that place students on the pathway to higher-wage management positions in the industry. All Blinn carpentry courses follow the National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER) curriculum, a nationally recognized curriculum developed with the cooperation of more than 125 construction CEOs, trade association officials, and academic leaders.
Students study at the Agriculture and Workforce Education Complex located at Texas A&M-RELLIS in Bryan, Texas. This 38,000-square-foot facility includes a trades lab, where students will experience the hands-on application of skills discussed in the classroom.
Carpentry students are eligible to apply for Duddlesten Foundation scholarships while funds remain available.

Blinn carpentry students can earn their Associate of Applied Science Degree in Carpentry, NCCER Core Construction and Carpentry Level 1-4 certifications, and Blinn’s Occupational Skills Award and Level 1 and 2 certificates in carpentry. Click below to see the different degree plans:

Meet Logan Woelfel
Logan Woelfel was working a summer job with a contractor in his hometown of Thrall, Texas, when he came to a sudden realization.
“We were doing remodels and roofing jobs and demolition jobs and I was like, ‘You know what? I like doing construction and building houses,’” Woelfel said. “Then I started looking on the internet and I came across Blinn’s Carpentry Program and I was like, ‘This is perfect for me.’”

Program FAQ
The Associate of Applied Science in Carpentry, the Occupational Skills Award, and the Certificate Levels I and II in Carpentry can be completed on the RELLIS campus.
The NCCER curriculum used in all Blinn carpentry courses is nationally recognized, qualifying graduates for employment across the country. According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, carpenters earn a median salary of $48,260 per year.
Students pursuing the Welding Technology Degree are eligible to apply for Duddlesten Foundation scholarships while funds remain available.
Blinn students also can apply for more than 300 scholarships through the Endowed Scholarship Application.
