Important Financial Aid Dates and Deadlines
Blinn College Financial Aid Priority Deadlines
Fall: May 1st
Spring: October 1st
The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) opens on October 1st for the aid year that begins the following Fall semester. Blinn College uses the FAFSA for the Fall/Spring/Summer semesters. The FASFA closes on July 1st of each year so please pay close attention to which FAFSA you complete.
It is almost always in the best interest of the student to complete their FAFSA as soon as possible after October 1st each year. When students financial aid packages are being created the date students originally submitted the FAFSA and the date the student completed all processing with the Blinn College are taking into consideration.
Under the Pay-As-You-Go (PayGo) process, students will be required to pay their tuition in full at the time of registration to avoid having classes dropped due to non-payment. Your classes will not be dropped and you will not be subject to PayGo if you have authorized financial aid on your account (including scholarships); an activated third party contract; or a valid payment plan.*
*Payment plans are not available during Summer semesters (May Minimester, Summer I, and Summer II)
For more information about Pay As You Go, please visit the Pay-As-You-Go Registration website.
