To be considered as an applicant to the Dental Hygiene Program, the following steps must be completed:
Request and complete a Dental Hygiene Application and submit all information to the Dental Hygiene Office prior to February 1 of each year.
All transcripts must be official and submitted with your Dental Hygiene Application.
Selection into Dental Hygiene Program does not guarantee admission to Blinn College. Applicants must meet requirements of the Texas Success Initiative (TSI) or be exempt. All applicants must be deemed “College Ready” under the TSI using one of the following assessment s: THEA, COMPASS, ACCUPLACER or be exempt through a qualifying score on TAKS, SAT, or ACT. Complete the Health Occupations Basic Entrance Test (HOBET V.5).Click here for the current testing schedule at Blinn College.
Applicants are responsible for meeting all deadlines and submitting completed applications.
Applicants are strongly encouraged to make an appointment for Dental Hygiene Advising with the Director of the Dental Hygiene Program by contacting 979-209-7272 and to make an appointment with Kynsie Benefield, Facilitator, Allied Health APPLIED SCIENCES, 979-691-2017 for general academic guidance and student support.
Dental Hygiene applications for the Fall of 2013 should be requested from the Dental Hygiene office beginning September 15, 2012.
