Corrections Option: Graduates with this certificate may qualify for entry level positions as: correctional officers in county/city/private jails, state and federal prisons, and county/private juvenile detention/state school facilities.
Basic Peace Officer Academy Option: With the successful passage of the TCLEOSE examination, graduates with this certificate are qualified to begin careers as certified police officers in a variety of city, state, or other governmental entities.

Perkins Grant Assistance is available on a first-come, first-serve basis to students enrolled in Technical Education programs who fall into a Special Populations category.
