The Blinn College District men’s chorus, women’s chorus, concert choir, and chamber choir will present “Fall Into Music” at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 15, at Saint Mary’s Catholic Church.

The concert is free and open to the public.

“As we welcome the fall season, we would like to invite everyone to ‘Fall Into Music’ with the Blinn choirs and listen to music from around the world,” said Dr. Paulo Gomes, Director of Choral Music. “The audience will enjoy hearing music that reminds them of the season.”

At the end, the Blinn chamber choir, concert choir, women’s chorus, and men’s chorus will join their voices performing “Five Mystical Songs” by Ralph Vaughan Williams.

Blinn faculty performers include Dr. Daniel Johnson as baritone soloist; Mrs. Cheryl Ameland, Dr. Patricia Burnham, and Dr. Jayoung Hong on piano; Jessica Borski, flute; Jill Stewart, clarinet; Jon Kratzer, trumpet; Daniel Wolfe, bassoon; Steven Winter, French horn; Todd Quinlan, timpani; and Gomes, director.

“Please come with an open heart and celebrate the fall season with us,” Gomes said. “We will be delighted to have you with us.”

The Blinn College District choir consists of a variety of ensembles open to Blinn students and faculty of all vocal musical backgrounds. Scholarships are available for students interested in singing in the vocal department and are available to music and non-music majors. Choir auditions are held in the Spring and Fall semesters.
