February 27, 2019
The Blinn College District will host an exciting night of food, music, and fun while raising money for scholarships and new educational programs at the Blinn-Sealy Campus.
The fifth annual “Boots and Blue Jeans for Blinn” will take place from 6-10 p.m. Saturday, March 30, at the Sealy American Legion Hall at 1630 Meyers Street. The fundraiser will include dinner from Jerry Mikeska’s BBQ and Catering, live music by The Blue Note Brothers, an auction, and a raffle.
Previous Boots and Blue Jeans events have raised more than $50,000 to fund more than 20 scholarships for Blinn-Sealy students.
“The local community and donors such as Ryan Kirkpatrick of Ryan Ford make it possible for us to provide financial assistance to these students,” said Lisa Caton, Executive Dean, Sealy Campus. “We look forward to provide much-needed assistance to even more students as they pursue their educational and career goals.”
Tickets are $40 and include admission, the meal, and two drink tickets. Guests can purchase $25 raffle tickets for the chance to win $1,000. Only 200 raffle tickets will be sold.
“Boots and Blue Jeans is a fun evening and a great way to bring Blinn College-Sealy Campus supporters together to raise funds for a worthy cause,” Caton said.
Event tickets and raffle tickets are available at the Blinn-Sealy Campus located at 3701 Outlet Center Drive. For more information, visit www.blinn.edu/sealy or call 979-627-7997.
