The Blinn College District will offer extended registration hours Saturday to help prospective students enroll in courses for the Spring 2019 semester.

Blinn’s Central Administrative Services Building at 3125 S. Texas Ave., Suite 1900, in Bryan (map), and the Brenham Campus Administration Building (map) will be open from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 12. Blinn will offer prospective students the opportunity to meet with enrollment specialists and academic advisors. The extended hours are open to all prospective Blinn students, regardless of their campus.

Prospective students also can email with their name, Blinn ID number, and cell phone number to receive personalized assistance with their registration.

The Spring semester begins Monday, Jan. 14, and students can register for 16-week and first 8-week courses through Tuesday, Jan. 15. Spring 12-week courses begin Feb. 11 and second 8-week courses begin March 18.

Blinn’s academic transfer rate of 36.9 percent ranks second in the state and far exceeds the statewide average of 20.9 percent. In addition to transfer agreements with the state’s leading four-year universities, Blinn is home to pioneering co-enrollment programs such as the Texas A&M-Blinn TEAM Program and the Texas A&M Engineering Academies at Blinn.

According to the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board’s, out-of-district Blinn students who enroll in 30 credit hours during the 2018-19 academic year save 42 percent in tuition and fees compared to students at public universities across the state. In addition to Blinn’s low tuition and fees, the Blinn Foundation offers 201 endowed scholarships available to incoming and returning students from a wide range of backgrounds, majors, and experiences.
