October 22, 2018

Registration is now available for the Blinn College District’s upcoming Winter Minimester and Spring 2019 semester.

Students seeking credit hours during the holidays can register for Blinn’s Winter Minimester, which runs Dec. 14-21 and Jan. 3-10. Students earn full credit for minimester courses, and Blinn offers a wide variety of online courses. Registration remains open through Dec. 13.

Registration for Blinn’s Spring semester is available through Jan. 13. College officials encourage early registration for convenient scheduling and placement in high-demand courses. Blinn’s Spring semester courses are available online and on the Brenham, Bryan, RELLIS, Schulenburg, and Sealy campuses.

Blinn’s academic transfer rate of 36.9 percent ranks second in the state and far exceeds the statewide average of 20.9 percent. In addition to transfer agreements with the state’s leading four-year universities, Blinn is home to pioneering co-enrollment programs such as the Texas A&M-Blinn TEAM Program and the Texas A&M Engineering Academies at Blinn.

Through the RELLIS Academic Alliance, students have the opportunity to complete their foundational coursework at the Schwartz Building and seamlessly transfer to several Texas A&M University System universities, including Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi, Prairie View A&M University, Tarleton State University, West Texas A&M University, Texas A&M University-Texarkana, Texas A&M University-Kingsville and Texas A&M University-Central Texas, also located onsite.

According to the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board’s, out-of-district Blinn students who enroll in 30 credit hours during the 2018-19 academic year save 42 percent in tuition and fees compared to students at public universities across the state. In addition to Blinn’s low tuition and fees, the Blinn Foundation offers more than 200 endowed scholarships available to incoming and returning students from a wide range of backgrounds, majors, and experiences.
