Blinn accepting applications for full- and part-time instructors
The College District posted record enrollment during the Fall 2018 semester
October 1, 2018
The Blinn College District seeks exceptional full- and part-time instructors to meet growing demand as the College’s enrollment approaches 20,000 students.
“Talented faculty are the cornerstone of Blinn College’s mission,” said Dr. Marcelo Bussiki, Interim Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs. “Welcoming new instructors allows Blinn to continue to introduce new programs and expand its course offerings.”
Available positions are posted at https://employment.blinn.edu, including instructional positions for Blinn’s Fall 8-week courses, which begin Wednesday, Oct. 17. Applicants seeking to teach academic transfer courses must have a master’s degree with 18 credit hours in the instructional field for which they are applying.
Earlier this week, Blinn announced record enrollment of 19,581 students for the Fall 2018 semester. That enrollment included new highs in Brenham Campus (2,737) and online (2,307) registration, and 1,515 students at the RELLIS Campus, where Blinn has partnered with The Texas A&M University System as part of the RELLIS Academic Alliance.
Blinn was recognized in 2017 as one of the most promising places to work in community colleges based upon findings from a study conducted by The Ohio State University’s Center for Higher Education Enterprise.
Blinn’s academic transfer rate of 36.9 percent ranks second in the state and far exceeds the statewide average of 20.9 percent. In addition to transfer agreements with the state’s leading four-year universities, Blinn is home to pioneering co-enrollment programs such as the Texas A&M-Blinn TEAM Program and the Texas A&M Engineering Academies at Blinn.
