Blinn College Alumni and Friends Association to host second annual Eat, Drink, & Join event

The community is encouraged to attend to meet and greet with Alumni and Friends

April 5, 2018

The Blinn College Alumni and Friends Association will host its second annual Eat, Drink, & Join recruiting event Thursday, April 19, to celebrate the organization and the College.

The event will be held from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at Home Sweet Farm, located at 307 S. Park St. in Brenham.

“This is a fun atmosphere to talk about the Alumni and Friends Association and all the things that we do as far as giving back to Blinn College and through volunteering,” said Dr. Kyle Merten, Director of Resource Development and Alumni Relations. “We want the community to see all the benefits of Blinn College and Alumni and Friends, whether it be through the Blinn graduates who work for their businesses or the students who contribute to the economy.”

The event is open to the public and is not limited to former students. There will be heavy appetizers and tokens for drinks available, along with drawings and giveaways with opportunities to win prizes such as Alumni and Friends t-shirts and gear. The Blinn College jazz band will perform in the outdoor entertainment area, and Blinn College student organizations will be in attendance.

Blinn’s Alumni and Friends Association maintains contact with former students, encourages support for and participation in the College’s educational, cultural, athletic and social programs, encourages student recruitment and assists the College in achieving its goals and objectives.
