The eight-week course, Preserving Your Family Story II, was taught by Fayette County author Elaine Thomas, who showed the students how to plan, research, organize, write and produce a compelling collection of family memories.

Course graduates include: Judy Balch (La Grange), Donna Bridwell (West Point), Verta Brown (La Grange), Donna Cockrell (Flatonia), Jerri Frenzel (La Grange), Marie Hayek (Columbus), Rox Ann Johnson (Fayetteville), Eileen McCourt (La Grange), Deacon John McCourt (La Grange), Linda Meuth (Giddings), Janetta Morris (La Grange), Chris Morrison (Ellinger), Gale Newkirk (Bastrop), Terri Wagner (La Grange), Regena Williamson (Sheridan), Vicki Woodard (Schulenburg), and Denise Woodyard (La Grange).

“By practicing the writing techniques that Elaine taught us, our family and personal stories have come to life,” Woodyard said. “That’s really exciting.”

An eight-week Preserving Your Family Story I course will begin Wednesday, Oct. 4, at the Blinn-Schulenburg Campus. Thomas will again instruct the $79 course. For more information or to register, contact Loraine Orellana at 979-743-5237 or lorellana@blinn.edu.
