Grainger, Inc. donates $15,000 for Blinn College scholarships

Gift will go toward technical education, ag mechanical scholarships

The Blinn College Foundation recently accepted a $15,000 gift from W.W. Grainger, Inc. to establish three technical education and ag mechanical scholarships.

The scholarships will each be $5,000.

Grainger is one of North America’s leading broad line suppliers of maintenance, repair and operating products, with $8.1 billion in sales in 2011.

Established in 2000, the Blinn College Foundation, Inc. supports programs and activities that enhance the quality of education for Blinn College students and expand the educational opportunities for the entire community. While raising funds is an important function, Blinn College Foundation also seeks to heighten community awareness of the mission and accomplishments of the college and to promote excellence in education.
