TEACH program quickly trains graduates for career in education
Blinn College will host sessions in Brenham and Bryan next week to answer questions from potential program applicants interested in alternative teacher certification.
The TEACH (Teacher Education Alternative Certification Host) program is a cooperative effort between Blinn and the school districts in its service area to provide quality, affordable alternative teacher certification to assist in meeting area school districts’ personnel needs.
The program provides training for persons who already hold a bachelor’s degree. The program offers certifications in mathematics, science, Spanish, French, special education, generalist, bilingual generalist, English language arts, reading and social studies and English as a second language generalist. Upon successful completion of the program, participants will be certified to teach in Texas.
Free informational sessions will be held:
6 p.m. – 8 p.m.
Brenham Student Center (Rooms 2 & 3)
6 p.m – 8 p.m.
Bryan Student Center (E-121)
Interviews will be held on the Brenham campus July 27 and applications are still being accepted.
