In coordination with Blinn College’s selected presidential search firm, a series of internal and external meetings are scheduled beginning May 22 to solicit input on the profile of traits constituents want in Blinn’s next top executive. A public meeting will be held May 23 in Brenham, home to Blinn’s headquarter campus, and another public meeting is slated for May 24 in Bryan, home to Blinn’s largest campus.
The public is invited to attend these one-hour sessions, where Gold Hill Associates of Asheville, N.C. will conduct open interviews to solicit input from attendees.
Public Input Meetings for President, Blinn College
The public input meetings are scheduled around similar, internal meetings with more than 100 stakeholders of the College, including students, faculty, staff and community leaders from Blinn’s four campus locations in Brenham, Bryan, Sealy and Schulenburg. The presidential search firm will gather opinions and identify common themes that will shape the profile of Blinn’s next president.
From such a profile, the College can craft a robust position description and, once applications are received, begin the process of evaluating candidates.
The process of hiring Blinn’s next president is expected to take about three to four months, leading to a final candidate this fall. Details concerning the process, including a tentative timeline and updates from the search committee, will be made available at www.blinn.edu/blinn_president_search.
