Free Business Taxpayer Seminar scheduled at Blinn

The New Year has arrived and the time is approaching to pay taxes. On Jan. 12, the Small Business Development Center at Blinn College will offer a taxpayer business seminar where the state comptroller’s office will unlock the secrets of state sales tax. The session will cover record keeping requirements and taxpayer responsibilities. Also a representative from the Social Security Administration will discuss electronic wage reporting and social security number verification.

The free seminar will be held 6-8:30 p.m. in the Student Center at Blinn’s Brenham campus.

The SBDC at Blinn College is a business consulting and training center that is part of the University of Houston Small Business Development Center Network, which serves 32 counties in Southeast Texas.
