Blinn adds Veterinary Technology Program for Fall

Veterinary Technology is the newest program added at Blinn College. The two-year technical program that begins in the fall is in collaboration with the Texas A&M University College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences, which is where second-year students will receive much of their clinical education. Graduates will be eligible to sit for national and state credentialing examinations to become a Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT). The program has a competitive application process that requires previous coursework, veterinarian-supervised experience, and health occupations testing.

Information sessions this spring will provide potential students with specifics about admission, prerequisites, and curriculum. The application deadline is May 31 and applications can only be obtained by attending one of the information sessions.

The information sessions on the Bryan campus will be held:

March 1, 5:30 p.m.
March 25, noon
April 5, 3 p.m.
April 16, noon
April 27, 10 a.m.
May 4, 5:50 p.m.
May 12, 3 p.m.
May 20, noon
