Dewey Decimal System

Our library primarily uses the Dewey Decimal classification system.

Dewey call numbers are a combination of numbers and letters. The publication date is often the last element of the call number: F H373o 1998 or 909 T139s 2007

Other academic libraries may use the Library of Congress Classification System. It also arranges books by subject areas.
