Tournament overview

  • All Blinn College students are eligible to participate
  • There is no cost to participate
  • Register here in order to compete
  • All competitors will use Blinn equipment and accounts provided by Blinn College
  • Competitors may not use their personal game accounts
  • Matches must begin before the scheduled end time of the tournament
  • Competitors must check in before competing. Check-in will be available all day.
  • Students must provide Blinn ID when entering or exiting tournament
  • This is a Fortnite Battle Royale Singles Tournament
  • 6 prizes will be given for each of the top 3 finishers in both Bryan and Brenham

What to Expect During Competition

  • First come, first serve. Competitors will be organized in a staging location in order of check in time.
  • Each competitor will be directed to 1 of 16 gaming stations and play only one round.
  • Competitors will play on the provided Epic Games account.
  • Upon elimination or victory, competitors will raise their hand and the score will be documented.
  • After scores are recorded, competitors will then relinquish the game station and move back to the end of the line.
  • Competitors may not reenter a new match on the same station upon conclusion of the previous match.
  • Competitors may not play on the same station competitively.
  • Competitors may play as much as they can, but they must always get back in line.
  • Competitors are responsible for updating key binds for personal use.
  • Competitors must reset key binds back to default once the match has ended or when eliminated.
  • Competitors may choose to not allow a score but must still get back in line for next opportunity.

Disqualification from Tournament

  • User-initiated logout or game exit will result in automatic disqualification from the tournament
  • Initiating a new match after completing a match on the same station will result in disqualification
  • Conduct that is uncivil and disrespectful to the tournament will result in disqualification
  • Teamwork between players in the same match is grounds for disqualification
  • Interference in any form between competitors will not be tolerated
  • Any competitor that does not achieve 3 scores for final ranking will be disqualified
  • Cutting lines will result in disqualification
  • Frequent non-compliance on key bind reset will result in disqualification
  • Any video or graphic alterations made or initiated by a competitor during tournament play will be a disqualification


  • Competitors must play a minimum of 3 matches and will be scored on an average of the top 2
  • Victory Royale - 10 points
  • 2 nd - 5 th place - 7 points
  • 6 th - 15 th - 5 points
  • 16 th - 25 th place - 3 points
  • Eliminations - 1 point each
  • Exiting the Battle Bus - 1 point
  • Any competitor that does not achieve 3 scores for their final ranking will be disqualified
