Position for top executive posted online
An intensive, four-day series of recent meetings with stakeholders of Blinn College has netted a comprehensive profile of traits that constituents want in Blinn’s next chief executive. These traits and stakeholder input helped Blinn’s Board of Trustees craft a position description for president, which the College has posted on its employment website.
With input from students, faculty, staff, campus communities and the College’s presidential search firm, Gold Hill Associates of Asheville, N.C., a leadership profile emerged for an ideal candidate who can navigate among and advance Blinn’s four campuses in Brenham, Bryan, Sealy and Schulenburg.
The presidential profile identified more than a dozen preferred leadership characteristics. The two-page list includes such traits as:
