Public forums were held in Brenham and Bryan for faculty, staff, students, alumni and community members to meet and hear from the finalists for Blinn College president. The search process, which began in May, led to two finalists who participated in moderated forums Sept. 6 and Sept. 8.
The finalists are Harold E. Nolte, Jr., Ed.D., president, Ellis County campuses, Navarro College; and Edward E. “Ted” Raspiller, Ed.D., provost, Blinn’s Brazos County campuses.
The sessions were similar in structure, with candidates being introduced, answering questions and fielding inquiries through moderators. The Brenham forums were led by Mr. Charles Moser, publisher emeritus, Brenham Banner-Press, while the Bryan forums were led by Mr. Mike Wright, general manager, KBTX (Bryan). Moser and Wright served on the 15-member Blinn Presidential Search Advisory Committee.
