Temporary Accommodations

The Disability Services Office offers a wide variety of services to students with temporary documented disabilities. Services are extended to students with temporary disabilities only for the duration of the functional limitations associated with their disability.

The eligibility process is the same as for permanent disability cases. After reviewing your documentation, a counselor will meet with you to determine appropriate academic services and accommodations depending how you are limited in the academic setting. The only other time that temporary accommodations will be granted is if a student's documentation is out of date and a student is working to obtain updated or relevant documentation. In this instance, a student will be granted accommodations only for the semester in which the testing is being completed and updated documentation must be submitted by the end of the semester for accommodations to become permanent.

In consultation with your Disability Services counselor, appropriate academic services and accommodations will be established, depending how you are limited in the academic setting. You will be given eligibility letters for your instructors
