Ms. Christina Amo was born in Fort Worth, Texas. She graduated in the accelerated program at North Crowley High School in 2005. She played in nearly every tennis program in the DFW before moving to San Marcos in 2005 to attend Texas State University. She played for them for 1 year. Her sophomore year was a medical year (shoulder injury) before she transferred to A&M University to play her last 3 years of eligibility. She has resided in the BCS area since 2008.
Ms. Amo enjoys crossfit, yoga, swimming, cycling, reading, and keeping up with the most up to date nutrition/fitness research. In high school, Christina was on the state swim team, speech team, and tennis team. Beyond high school competition, Ms. Amo has competed in gymnastics, lifting, crossfit, beauty pageants, golf and mudruns. Anything that involves competition, outdoors, activity or A&M, Ms. Amo will get involved in.
Ms. Amo graduated from Texas A&M University in 2010 with a Bachelor’s of Science in Psychology. She is currently working toward her Master’s in Kinesiology. Ms. Amo received awards such as Letterman’s awards, Dean’s list, women’s varsity tennis Spirit award, all-team academic, Champ’s, and held the team record for power clean and squats maxes.
Ms. Amo teaches Beginning Tennis at Blinn College. She has taught at country clubs around Texas since 2006. She has taught Quick Start, Cardio Tennis, All-Star, Future-Star and Academy level players. She has also taught older players who compete in USTA doubles play throughout the nation. Ms. Amo is also the Wellness Director for Dr. Johnson Performance and Wellness. She teaches her clients exercises to keep them strong and fit in the comfort of their own home. On top of that, Ms. Amo owns and operates a real estate investment company with her mother. Amo Investments is in Fort Worth, Arlington, Joshua, Crowley, College Station, and Bryan Texas.
