Prospective students interested in attending Blinn College in Fall 2014 will get to tour the Bryan campus, enroll and learn about financial aid and local employment opportunities during the College’s Preview Days Feb. 21 and March 7.
Students need only attend one preview day, and can register online at www.blinn.edu/recruiting/preview_days.html. Once registered, they will be mailed an informational packet with the day’s itinerary and instructions.
In addition to tours of the campus, prospective students can meet with faculty to learn about Blinn’s academic programs and student services. Representatives from local apartment complexes will be on hand, as will local companies looking to employ college students.
Blinn will also host Preview Days on its Brenham campus Jan. 31 and Feb. 7, and on its Sealy campus Feb. 13.
Blinn enrolled 18,413 students this Fall and has experienced 31.1 percent growth since 2006. The College’s transfer rate is the highest in the state and almost double the statewide average. Blinn was recently named one of the top community colleges in the state by Schools.com for its positive impact on the Texas economy and AffordableCollegesOnline.org recently listed Blinn among the most affordable large community colleges in the nation.
Founded in 1883, the College’s tuition and fees average about one-third the cost of the same classes at most four-year public universities in the state. In addition to its campuses in Brenham, Bryan, Schulenburg and Sealy, the College teaches online courses, dual credit for high school and prepares students for quick employment through its career and technical certification programs.
